Volkswagen Golf Named ACFO Fleet Car of the Year

Volkswagen’s UK division is now celebrating, as the Golf has received the ACFO (Association of Car Fleet Operators) Fleet Car of the Year award. The members of the UK’s premier organization for fleet operators have voted the Golf as their favorite car for the fourth year in a row.

We’re really proud that the Golf has retained the ACFO Fleet Car of the Year accolade once again. Volkswagen’s reputation for producing high quality, desirable and reliable cars with low whole-life costs shines through in the Golf, while the back-up provided by the Fleet Services Team means that company car fleet operators can rely on our consistently high standards of customer service,” said Head of Volkswagen Fleet Services, Vince Kinner.

The automotive producer has also received distinctions in other categories, with its Fleet Services Team being voted runner-up in the Fleet Services Company of the year category, the Golf BlueMotion being named runner-up in the Green Car of the Year category and the Caddy featuring as runner-up in the Small Van of the Year sector.

The awards may have been given a new-look in 2010 but they continue to represent the true face of fleet operations. More than 130 nominations were received across the seven categories underlining the breadth of competition there is in today’s fleet market,” said ACFO chairman Julie Jenner.

Operating successfully in partnership it means that through the availability of top quality vehicles and first rate suppliers, vehicle downtime can be kept to an absolute minimum and fleet managers can focus on the efficient and effective operation of their vehicles to support their businesses.
