Ladies and gentleman, it seems like Volkswagen has taken up stand-up comedy, or so it seems based on the carmaker’s latest ad. The commercial was created for the Golf 7 GTI and addresses one of the most annoying problem online today: Youtube’s 5-second advertising wait.
This is “the fastest ad in Youtube’s history”, as VW calls the clip. We won’t tell you what’s going on behind the play button below, but we have to admit that the approach is an original one.
And yes, this is one fast piece of unconventional advertising. For added amusement, the Golf GTI ad was places on Vimeo! While we’re glad whenever somebody in the advertisin world really thinks outside the box, we can’t help but think that a car like the Gotf GTI shouldn’t need a commercial.
