Volkswagen Golf GT, GTI, GTD and R Get Free Leather

The performance range of Golf models faces stiffer competition than it’s ever had in the past, with Ford and Renault encroaching on their territory. However, VW isn’t standing still and is offering its British customers extra kit and caboodle on the Golf GT, GTI, GTD or R.

All these models will come with full leather for free starting today, so if we never get to see anther tartan-clat GTI it will be too soon. Besides this, VW will add Bluetooth phone preparation to these cars, meaning customers benefit from over £2,000-worth of extra value.

The Vienna leather pack was previously y a £1,890 option, and offers not only a bit of cow hide on the seats. It also offers electrical adjustment for the driver seats, electrically operated lumbar support and heated seats for both front seats.

The GT, GTI and GTD all feature sports seats with bolsters to hold occupants securely in place, while the sports seats in the Golf R have even deeper bolsters, as befits the R’s extra performance, but full Recaros remain an option for Golf R customers.
