Volkswagen Golf CC Rendered, Coming in 2015

The 7th generation of the Golf will be the one that sees the range receive a new model, the CC. This will differ from the normal Golf in the same way the CC offers something different to the Passat.

The Golf CC, which is expected to arrive in 2015, will be similar to the Jetta, but with a slooping roofline and more stylish details. Thus, it will trade some of the rear head room for a more interesting line. At the moment, it is unclear whether the Golf CC will offer a normal boot lid or a liftgate.

The Golf CC will be underpinned by the VW Group’s MQB modular platform and thus should offer most of the engines that are or wil be made available on the Golf VII.

This means that customers will be able to choose between TSI (petrol) and TDI (diesel) powerplants with outputs up to about 200 hp, while VW could also introduce a hybrid version later in the model’s life.
