The new all-electric VW e-Up! is now up for purchase in Great Britain, therefore ladies as well as men, feel free to get your very own!
Volkswagen has made the car available at the price of £19,250, that is, after the £5,000 UK government grant (without it, it would have been a very unreasonable £25,000). The sad news is, Renault's Zoe is cheaper and quite a lot bigger.

Although, we are pretty sure you know about the car, let us offer you some more information. The model’s power comes from an 60 kW/82PS, 155lb ft electric motor seated up front, and a 18.7kWh lithium ion pack that weighs 230 kg. Because it is situated under the floor, the centre of gravity is lower than in a combustion-engined Up!.

Moreover, customers will have the opportunity to order a wall-charging box for home. This will recharge the battery from flat in just six hours. Therefore, you can notice that the system is a fast-charging one and allows for an 80 percent recharge in half an hour. Also, you’ll even get a standard three-point plug.

Not too many differences can be noticed when it comes to the interior as the fittings are near identical to the standard except for the charging and eco-orientated instrumentation.

There are some minor changes such as new badges, LED rear lights, nice blue stitching for the interior and special 15-inch alloys.

In case you were wondering, deliveries of the first e-Up! are expected from February. What is interesting is that it will incorporate a high-spec trim level that builds on the range-topping High Up! version.

Besides all of this, you get the standard three-year warranty, but you can extended up to five years if you want. Concerning the battery battery pack, the warranty is eight years or 100,00 miles, depending on which one comes first.

Want one? Well, bear in mind that the model is only selling through 24 dealerships designated as specialists for electric vehicles.
