Volkswagen has announced an increase in their January to October deliveries by 11.2% compared to the same period of last year. They managed to deliver 4.72-million units, compared to last year’s 4.24-million, of which 501,300 were delivered in October alone, marking a 16.3% increase over their 2011 numbers.
In Europe, despite the shaky economic climate, deliveries are still up, if only by a small margin - 0.5% over last year, which equates to 1.44-million units sold until October. Russians really like VWs, and it shows - their sales in the country recorded a 50.8% increase over last year, while in Germany, they managed to deliver 498,400 units, marking a minute 0.6% increase over last year.

Asia also did well for VW, as the region saw a 17.4% increase in January to October deliveries, with 1.89-million vehicles delivered to customers - 1.71-million in China alone, as the PRC numbers also went up by 18.4% over last year.
