Volkswagen is now ready to give its European customers a taste of the facelifted Passat CC, which will forever be know just as the CC. That’s a bit confusing, since this is usually associated with coupe-cabriolets, but what isn’t at all confusing is VW’s marketing pitch, and that’s style and class.
We’re still not sure if this angular makeover is as good as the old, curvy look the Passat CC had, but it does exude a strong presence, and it looks thoroughly new.
And to make sure the message is loud and clear, VW sells the CC as standard with RNS 315 touchscreen satellite navigation system, DAB digital radio, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity, 2Zone climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights and brake energy recuperation on all models. As for the safety features, these include a driver alert system, ESP electronic stabilisation programmer and four-way adjustable front head restraints, to reduce the risk of whiplash injuries.
