Volkswagen and Fender Bring Live Concerts to Your Jetta

Volkswagen of America Inc announced it had entered a partnership with the creators of the highly appreciated Stratocaster guitar and Precision bass, Fender Musical Instruments Corp, bringing the experience of an open-air live performance inside your very own car. 2012 models will be equipped with the all-new high fidelity Fender Premium Audio System.

"Our two iconic companies - one with a passion for driving, one with a passion for music - are joining forces to bring the raw emotion of live music to the driving experience."

The Fender Premium Audio System was developed exclusively for the Volkswagen brand and will equip the new Jetta GLI at first, with all other Jettas to receive the add-on later. The audio system will also be included in the upcoming 2012 midsize sedan and 2012 Beetle in the fall of next year.

For the development of its Premium Audio System, Fender partnered with Panasonic, combining Fender's 64 years of sound amplification experience with Panasonic's 68 years of mobile audio systems expertise. The two companies have developed a system that delivers the highest quality sound, only to be matched by Volkswagen's superior engineering.

The audio system consists of nine speakers bringing the highest clarity sound, without noise or distortion, whether you're listening to country, jazz, rock or electronic music.
