Volcon’s all-terrain motorcycle, the Grunt, was a hit, with dealerships from all over the world showing their interest in the product. Now the Texas-based manufacturer launches into the e-bike market with the Volcon Brat, a versatile beast built for both daily urban commutes as well as off-road adventures.
The Volcon Brat is a Class 2 electric bike with a motorcycle spirit, using the same Volcon Exo-Arch frame design found in the popular Grunt. The Brat strives to stand out from the crowd, not just in terms of looks but also performance. With the e-bike market saturated with lookalike products, Volcon’s first e-bike aims to be a breath of fresh air and to get riders hooked on Volcon’s wheelers. As explained by Jordan Davis, the company’s CEO, if you can ride the Brat, you can also ride the Grunt, meaning as your riding style changes and your experience progresses, they’ll have the right product waiting for you.

Available in black or blue, the Brat weighs 86 lb (39 kg). It packs 20” x 4” wheels with low-resistance hybrid tires suitable for mixed terrain use and comes with hydraulic disc brakes, inverted, telescopic, adjustable forks in the front, and a monoshock suspension in the back. There’s a 4” LED color display that’s Bluetooth connected and provides the rider with info on the trip distance, estimated range, the bike’s speed, and more.

The Volcon Brat comes with a 750W motor that offers a top speed of over 28 mph (45 kph). There are four riding modes available with the Brat, with the first one offering minimal pedal assistance and maximum battery life. The fourth mode unleashes the maximum power and is suitable for off-road adventures.

A 750Wh removable battery offers more than 70 miles (112 km) of range in the first riding mode and over 30 miles (48 km) per charge in modes 2 to 4. The battery takes around six to seven hours to fully charge via Level 1 charging.

Volcon’s Brat e-bike can be reserved on the company’s website. Deliveries to dealers and consumers are expected to begin this November. The e-bike is priced at $2,800.
