Visteon Growth Market Car Goes to Shanghai

As promised since the introduction of the Growth Market Car last week in India, automotive supplier Visteon will continue to tour the world in its effort to demonstrate its products, with the next stop being the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition in April.

The presence at the Chinese show will mark the first time the model is being presented in China, and this time will have a companion with it. Visteon will be presenting alongside the Growth Market Car a motorcycle concept, meant at showing industry players how Visteon's products can be used on this segment of the industry. The supplier's older project, C-Beyond, will also be on scene for the event.

"We are proud to participate in one of the most exciting trade shows, in one of the world's fastest-growing markets, to demonstrate our technology innovations and market insights," said Robert Pallash, Visteon senior vice president and president, global customer group.

"Through our product strengths, unparalleled global manufacturing and engineering footprint, and long history in the China market, we will reinforce Visteon's position as a strong partner for success for automakers globally and in China through Auto Shanghai 2011."

The Growth Market Car is a show car packed with climate, electronics, interiors, lighting, sound and attachment solutions manufactured by both Visteon and 3M. The model and the products in it are intended, just as the name suggests, at the growing auto market. Following the Chinese show presence, the supplier will be taking the car at similar events in Japan, Brazil, and Europe.
