A coupe of decade ago, Skoda was known for making very simple cars, made with cheap materials. They were the Dacia of their time, but now the Czechs have learned a thing or two about premium goods. Their next concept is called the VisionC and follows in the footsteps of Volkswagen's Passat CC, now known simply as the CC.
This is the very first sketch of the concept car, a loose interpretation of what we're about to see at the Geneva Motor Show in a few month's time. Not only is it a car to behold, but this four-door coupe also previews Skoda's future design language, more emotional and evocative than they're current offering.
Three ever smaller triangles wedge themselves into the shape of headlights, hinting at multiplication of SEAT's design language for the Leon.
Since this is Skoda and not Mercedes, it has to be very practical as well, so the four-door coupe is actually a five-door coupe, meaning it has a liftback boot. This is better for loading larger items and offering greater visibility for the driver.
No word on a potential production version, with Skoda likely measuring response to the car during the upcoming Geneva event. What do you think?
