Racing games are usually a real pleasure for most of us but playing them without the appropriate equipment may alter the game experience, especially for gaming fanatics who are looking for the best performances from their console/PC. That's why ECCI designed the Trackster 6000 gaming set, a new package which includes both a high-quality steering wheel and advanced braking system.
Basically, ECCI aimed to design a system that would perfectly simulate real driving so it integrated a couple of real elements on the aforementioned racing set components.
For instance, the two-tone leather steering wheel, which ECCI says it should be regarded as “the critical link between the driver and control of the car,” provides the best driving position while the pedals include a fully adjustable heel rest combined with customizable chassis geometry. The pedal system also includes an optional clutch pedal (depending on the configuration you choose, the clutch pedal may be included as standard).
“During the development process, ECCI Labs determined that only a custom designed pedal pad would meet all of the design goals of the TRACKSTAR 6000. Ordinary pedal pads provide no lateral adjustment of pedal spacing. ECCI's unique design allows substantial adjustment of spacing via slotted mounting holes. ECCI's pedals are also about 30% larger than other pedals of similar design, offering the home user a more comfortable pedal for long distance racing,” the folks at ECCI described the pedal system included in the package.
Unfortunately, the price isn't exactly what you may be expecting, the base racing set being available for $989 while the top version going as much as $1,398. However, buying the top of the line variant also brings you the third (clutch pedal), custom graphics, FLDS steering damper, two-tone leather on the steering wheel (compared to black vinyl for the cheapest version) as well as PMB-II brake pedal.
