Now a highly-acclaimed classic piece of machinery, the Jensen Interceptor is spotted at both classic car shows and auctions. But not all of them are still wearing the same factory “clothes” and “hearts”, and one particular Jensen Interceptor is like nothing you’ve seen before. Rebuilt and enhanced by a team of enthusiasts, the Jensen Viperceptor SE is probably the most performant musclecar the British never had.
Stripped to it’s bare metal and fully redesigned, the Viperceptor gained major body changes, including flared wheel arches, deeper front and rear valance, modified side vents, Chrysler 300C headlamps, and 20-inch wheels. Not too mention the gray paint job that makes it even more menacing. But that’s not all, when a car looks like that, it certainly needs the proper technology under the shell. Among the numerous technical enhancements, the Viperceptor took possession of an 8.3-liter V10 Dodge Viper engine.
Though the Viperceptor lost a bit of Jensen’s classic touch, we are more than impressed by the final result... and so should any modern musclecar enthusiast be.
