Porsche’s vintage models aren’t exactly known for being the most affordable sports cars out there. Especially if you’re looking into securing one of the legendary versions from the 1970s or the 1980s. So, how about having both a Porsche 911 Turbo and a 911 Targa for just $149.99 / €129.99? Of course, that’s only possible in the marvelous LEGO world.
Having a LEGO collection of Porsche models just got more enticing, as the Danish company just released first pictures and initial details about the latest brick version of the legendary 911.

Better yet, one of the most beloved sports car nameplates in history will hit the LEGO online portal and its stores as a two-in-one LEGO Porsche 911 Turbo and 911 Targa set exactly on March 1st (February 15th for anyone with VIP access).

Both LEGO builders and classic car aficionados will probably have ample fun with this new bundle, as the new set allows for the fans to choose what to build – either a classic 911 Turbo coupe or a “let’s have some wind in our hair” open-top 911 Targa.

Granted, LEGO does mention that only a single version can be had at one time, as the 1,458-piece set (which, by the way, is targeted towards a mature audience, aged 18+) doesn’t allow for both versions to be created simultaneously. Of course, one can always order two sets and be done with the conundrum, right?!

Anyways, when construction is done, the finished 911 Turbo or 911 Targa will have a height of 10.8 centimeters (4.25 in.), a width of 16 cm (6.29 in.), and a length of 35.5 cm (14 in.). All the iconic details have been preserved, according to LEGO, and the set also comes with a raft of unique elements.

For example, the 2+2 interior has the seats and dashboard painted in a mix of “dark orange and nougat, an eclectic color scheme based on contemporary upholstery options from the Porsche 911.”

The handbrake, gear shifter, are also there – while functional elements include the steering wheel, tilting front seats, or a fully removable roof on the 911 Targa variant.
