As many vintage cars that are hidden away in someone’s personal collection, we commend owners of these vehicles for driving them around and showing them off. In doing so, though, opens up the possibility that the car could be caught up in a careless car accident, and that seems to be the case with this scary video.
The video claims the car is a Bugatti Type 35 B being driven casually through the streets of Brampton, Ontario last month. As the driver approaches the intersection, the Toyota Prius on the other side of the street doesn’t look both ways and pulls out right in front of a Dodge Caravan. The Prius is t-boned and goes flipping out of view of the dashcam, while the severely injured minivan rolls toward the Bugatti making enough of an impact to push the car backward.
The details about the accident are unknown (including whether or not the van may have been speeding), but it is quite possible the Bugatti could have avoided being collected in the accident had the driver stopped in the proper spot at the intersection instead of rolling through the crosswalk, which would have given an extra 10 feet or so of space. If that is in fact a legit Bugatti Type 35 B, then chances are the costs to repair its minor damage could likely exceed the replacement costs for the two severely damaged vehicles involved. Even if it happens to be a replica, it appears to be in good enough condition that repair to the front bumper likely won’t be cheap.
Most importantly, though, the person who uploaded the video said that “everyone was safe and sound” following the crash, but we’re sure the drivers and passengers in both cars were a bit shaken up after the incident. Check out the video of the scary crash for yourself.
