There have been countless rumors of Vin Diesel’s issues about finding a proper director of the already-announced Furious 8. Some media outlets reported the Fast and Furious producer-actor is too pretentious and difficult to work with on set, and that because of his behavior nobody is willing to accept the job.
Gone are the days big announcements would be done through press conferences. With social media turning into a new PR office for the big shots in the showbiz, it’s no telling how long spokesmen will keep their jobs. It’s been rumored Vin Diesel has a particular way around producing the latest movies in the world renown car chasing franchise.

As a matter of fact, some even said that Universal Pictures was having trouble locking down a director for the job. Apparently, the XxX star keeps sticking his nose in the writing process, as well as how the acting part goes through. All these stories seem to fade now in the light of the actor’s post on Facebook. Yes, he fixed everything with a simple announcement he made on his social network account.

The fans of the Fast & Furious SAGA are the best fans in the world... Since I became the Producer in 2008, you have been with me every step of the way... literally giving me feedback that proved invaluable. Thank you. My producing partner Neal would love for me to just sign off on a director, but this is too special a franchise, so these matters have to be very carefully handled. To be clear, NO ONE has been offered to helm Fast 8 yet... let alone seen a script. Universal has been so good to me and so trusting of the vision... they have been like family... I promised the studio I would deliver one last Trilogy to end the saga. I will announce the directors on my next post...

There you go. We’re not just getting another movie; we’re getting a trilogy. The question is, are you ready for it?
