Vin Diesel is among the celebrities that took the already famous ice bucket challenge. The Fast & Furious star obviously needed to give the practice its own personal touch, so he decided to take the challenge in the back of a pick-up truck. After dumping a bucket of ice on his head, he challenged Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin himself.
After Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn initially challenged Vin Diesel, the Fast & Furious actor gladly accepted and filmed the scene for fans to find out. He recently posted the clip on his Instagram account. Before taking the challenge, however, Diesel also asked Gunn to plant a tree (what?)

It would seem this new way of raising awareness on different diseases or problems human beings are facing could just become the next step in making our world better. Or not.

In the rare case you heaven’t heard about the ice bucket challenge, we’ll take a second and introduce it to you. Although it’s not quite sure where it all started from, the silly joke that’s being shared on social media by billionaires such as Facebook’s creator Mark Zuckerberg or Microsoft founder Bill Gates is a smart way of raising awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The lethal neurodegenerative disorder is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Originally, the idea was that when a person is challenged he either donates $100 to ALS foundation or dumps ice water on his head. Of course, most of the people ended up getting soaked and giving money.

We all know how much of a car enthusiast Vin Diesel is, so of course a car had to be involved. He took the icy bucket from the bed of a pick-up truck. As long as we can tell, it looks like a Chevrolet Silverado 1500, one described by its creator as the most fuel-efficient gas V8 pick-up engine ever. Still, It’s kind of funny how the actor chose a huge truck to pose next to while talking about planting trees, but who are we to blame him.
