Victoria Beckham’s Porsche 911 Turbo Breaks Down

Just because of her last name, it doesn’t mean that “Posh Spice" Victoria Beckham can’t have the problems that ordinary people have with their cars. Therefore, her Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet broke down in L.A. the other day, TMZ reported.

Luckily, Victoria was not kept away for getting to her shopping session for too long, as she was soon driven away by her bodyguard. Of course, that happened only after a tow truck came and took care of the $150,000 convertible. She had the Porsche (that by the way, bears her initials on the windshield and wheels) since March 2008, so we might say that it was time for a change.

We remember when the former pop singer said that in her childhood days she was embarrassed by her family's wealth and often begged her father not to drop her off outside the school in their Rolls Royce. Apparently those moments are long gone, as the Beckhams have a garage full of expensive cars.

The Turbo Cabriolet version of the 997 series of Porsche 911 was first announced in May 7, 2007 but arrived on the market during the same year in September. The 3.6-liter Turbo engine produced a maximum power of 480 hp and a top speed of 193 mph with a 0 to 60 mph done in 4 seconds.

“Everyone switches to Porsche. You will own a car which is always powerful enough, extremely stable, amazingly well-finished, fantastically well-proportioned and, above all, created with passion and respect,” one of autoevolution’s guest star editors, was saying in the “Porsche Über Alles...” editorial. Well, that doesn’t mean that one can’t just break down for once in a while...
