Vettel Signs Sponsorship Deal with Procter & Gamble

Sebastian Vettel did not take long before securing his first sponsor in his Formula One career. Yes, it's true, after a bunch of years competing at the highest level in motor racing, the youngest world champion in the history of the sport signed his first sponsor, a deal which will bring him millions in the years to come.

According to a report from the GMM news agency, citing the German media, Vettel has just inked a multi-million dollar sponsorship contract with American multinational Procter + Gamble to promote the 'Head + Shoulders' shampoo.

A few days back, it was further confirmed that Vettel was managing his own affairs in the series. Meaning that he has no manager, something that was already known for quite some time, and he plans to keep it that way in the future. However, he did benefit from some assistance when signing his first sponsorship deal from a lawyer and a financial expert, as reported by Germany's Bild.

Additionally, it seems that Vettel plans to have a fruitful off-season this winter, as there are several other companies interested in signing similar deals with the Red Bull racer. However, no info on those deals surfaced in the media just yet.

While negotiating his way – from a sponsoring standpoint – through the upcoming season, Vettel will not miss the opportunity to visit his hometown in Germany, Heppenheim, to celebrate his first world title in career. Even before the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the authorities in Heppenheim had prepared a potential town celebration in Vettel's honor, and now they'll get the chance to express their admiration for their hero on Sunday.
