Vertu for Bentley Is The Gentlemen Phone You Want

A couple of months ago, Bentley and Vertu announced they’ve closed an exclusive five-year partnership that will lead to a new series of luxury smartphones. The phone maker has recently unveiled their first collection, featuring exclusive virtues such as a titanium casing, sleek quilted trim and a forged metal winged Bentley badge.

This is quite the gentlemen’s toy any driver would want to have. Vertu for Bentley has a knurled, Grade 5 titanium casing and a sleek quilted trim to match Bentley styling. We’re talking eccentric features with a subtle taste of ultimate design, so prepare yourself.

According to the exclusive phone maker, the fine attention to detail is carried through the screws modeled on the air vents of Bentley’s automobiles. It’s wrapped in diamond-stitched, quilted calf leather, crafted by one of Europe’s oldest tanneries using traditional methods.

Vertu is back on track

In case you guys haven’t heard already, Vertu is no longer owned by Finish mobile-phone manufacturer Nokia, as it was bought by a private equity group EQT VI, two years ago. This is quite relevant, considering ever since the transaction was made reports claim the exclusive phones have once again turned into competitive phones, sizing up to be as performant as the best smartphones on the market.

Now, back to the phone.

The collection in question was designed with quite the technical features. The sound was tuned and rigorously tested with world-renowned company Bang & Olufsen. The main camera features 13 megapixel sensor, dual LED flash and a lens of virtually scratch-proof sapphire crystal. A high-performance Qualcomm Snapdragon 2.3 GHz qua core and exclusive ring and alert tones, all created for Vertu by renowned composers and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra complete the phone’s key features.

Only 2,000 items will be sold

The phone is running Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and only 2,000 units will be sold, each coming with its own leather case.

One of the luxury phone maker’s main feature, which all the customers benefit from, is the famous concierge program, which offers 24-hour worldwide assistance, recommendations and priority bookings. Imagine that everything you need, want or dream for is one phone call away from becoming reality.

Vertu for Bentley also comes with the Life and Certainty services. Life offer curated and personally tailored privileges, while the last helps provide what Vertu calls “peace of mind for your Vertu and your dat”. In other words, you shouldn’t worry about any leaked photos going on once you own this baby.

But all this special treatment doesn’t come cheap. According to its creator, the Bentley-endorsed smartphone is priced at EUR 12,500 ($15,896).
