Nowadays, even the most obscure carmakers have come up with attention-grabbing names for the colors of their cars, but we remember the era when such treats were reserved for names like Ferrari.
Nevertheless, the Prancing Horse always finds ways of staying true to its pedigree and you're looking at one. The F12 Tour de France in these images is The Maranello machine of the moment, having set the Internet on fire.
Sure, any F12 TdF is rare, but this particular example takes things one step further. Come to think about it, this promises to draw just as much attention as Jay Kay's Green LaFerrari.
And while, to this day, we haven't seen another LaF in the same color, we're pretty sure the owner of the F12 has similar hopes when it comes to his machine.
As we can see on the car's plates, this has been delivered via Ferrari of Central New Jersey, but we have no details on the lucky owner of the beast.
And while most aficionados out there will probably praise the world wide web for bringing such a creature to them, there's always the other camp. You know, the old-school gearheads that claim "Ferraris should only come in one color."
To understand how much of an issue hues such as Verde Kers Lucido can be for these people, we've added a photo showing the contrast between this car and a Red TdF (not a Rosso Corsa machine, though).
Wonder what Lamborghini fans have to say about this one. After all, they should be all too familiar with the various shades of Green - Sant'Agata Bolognese has made such a passion for this color that we can even talk about its various shades generating trends over the years. Oh yes, Raging Bull aficionados certainly know their Verde Ithaca (here's a Veyron dressed in this Lambo hue) from their Verde Scandal.
