Here’s Ventz, a cool idea which will keep you cool, if you don’t mind the repetition. Ventz is a simple idea, the kind which makes you ask yourself how come you haven’t thought of this in the first place. The principle which makes it work is as simple as it gets: allowing more air to enter up your motorcycle jacket’s sleeve and wicking away moisture and heat.
Ventz comprises a couple of sleeve inserts made from a very durable plastic which raises the brim of your jacket’s sleeve and act like an additional ram-air intake for your gear. This in turn, causes higher pressure, forcing heat and moisture out through whichever opening it will find: neck area, unzipped back vents, and so on.

While some all-season motorcycle jackets and pants have zipped vents which riders can use to control air flow and temperature, most of the riding gear doesn’t, and here’s where Ventz comes in useful. The plastic used in making the Ventz is shatter-proof so in case you spill, you’ll only be left with some bruises, but without the doctors having to remove shards form your forearms.

en more, the air intakes are covered by a plastic mesh grille which keeps insects out. Ventz can be used by both rider and pillion passenger and the maker claims it can reduce the temperature underneath the jacket by up to 25%, which is awesome.

Pairs of Ventz are available in black, blue, red, yellow and white, with the Kawasaki Ninja purist riders forgotten, and can be yours for $27 (€19.6) plus post and packaging if you live outside the UK, and they’re a tad cheaper on the island.
