Lots of people were shocked by the fact that one of the website founders can afford a freaking Lamborghini Huracan supercar. However, the other guy has a BMW i8 and needed something for the winter, preferably something that's still fun.

And so he parted ways with his old-gen Boss 302 Mustang to get an everyday ride that's great in the winter. Lots of sedans have all-wheel drive, but the S4 is kind of famous for it. It's a certified vehicle with an extended warranty, red seats, and all the bells.

This model would look kind of old in Europe, where they just switched to the new generation with a turbocharged engine instead of the supercharger. But in America, that's not the case. Anyway, they were joined by a Mustang GT350R and a BMW M2, so the S4 kind of got outclassed.

Only subtle styling differentiates the S4 from the A4. The bumper is slightly sportier, and there are four exhaust pipes. The quarter mile takes 13 seconds, so it's not amazing by today's standards. But you can't buy an AWD Camaro V8, now can you.

The S4 is kind of a muted performance car because it also does things you expect from a luxury sedan. For most gearheads, selling a Mustang Boss 302 for an Audi, any Audi, is sacrilege. But we get that this guy needed a car that worked kin the winter. But what would you buy for the money? BMW 335i with xDrive or maybe a Volvo S60 with a 3-liter - now those are nice options.
