Vauxhall has decided to introduce a price cut policy for the entire variety of models in its line-up.
Opel's UK twin brother offers new models that come with hefty discounts compared to the previous entry level models in the carmaker’s range. Vauxhall brings five new Expression and new ES versions for the Insignia and Astra ranges. The first are destined for the Corsa, New Astra, Astra Sports Hatch, Zafira and the Astra Twin Top. However, some of the new base models comes with certain disadvantages such as less standard equipment.
The Expression versions brings the Corsa’s price down by 1,000 pounds. In Astra’s case, the price cut reaches 2.000 pounds (the car now uses the smallest engine in the range, the 90 hp 1.4 liter). The new Insignia ES is priced 1,700 pounds lower than the previous entry-level version, the Insignia S, and also comes with a more generous standard equipment list, offering additional features such as 17 inch wheels and an MP3 audio system. The greatest price reduction is offered by the Zafira - 3,675 pounds. However, the MPV loses its roof rails and, more importantly, its air conditioning system.
The new offer also covers the fleet segment of the market, as company car users receive reduced tax levels based on the new lower values.
“With the government’s Scrappage Scheme almost finished, we recognise that our customers will still be looking for the best offers around on new cars,” said Andy Gilson, Vauxhall’s Marketing Director. “With the Expression and ES ranges, we’re reducing the entry-level list price of all key models, while still offering generous specification levels on each car."
