Vauxhall has released pricing information for the brand new Insignia Country Tourer “SUV-inspired all-purpose” estate, which can be ordered as we speak, in two trim levels, starting from £25,349.
“£5,000 cheaper than the Audi A4 Allroad and £2,400 less than a VW Passat Alltrack,” the Country Tourer trim can cost as much as £29,709 and features bi-xenon adaptive front lighting, power tailgate and front and rear parking sensors. Priced between £26,499 and £30,859, the Country Tourer Nav model adds Navi 900 IntelliLink sat nav with 8-inch color touch screen, multi-function touch-pad controller and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster to the standard equipment list.
Both vehicles are fitted with the company’s 2.0 CDTi powertrain, but customers can choose between the 163 HP version or the BiTurbo 195 HP variant. The first one can be fitted with either 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic, while the latter can be ordered with an automatic transmission only. Deliveries of the Vauxhall Insignia Country Tourer are scheduled to commence in January 2014.
“With competitive pricing and generous standard equipment levels, the Insignia Country Tourer looks set to shake up the D-segment crossover sector,” said Stuart Harris, Vauxhall’s Head of Carline Brand. “The Insignia Country Tourer is perfect for a winter holiday, on snowy roads, or simply when the going gets tough. Even on urban roads its robust looks give it strong stand-out appeal.”
