Vauxhall Corsa Selling Well… as a Van

Here at autoevolution, we're big fans of the affordability and practicality offered by the supermini market. From the German quality of the Polo to the French style of the Clio and 208 or the driving short handling of the Ford Fiesta, you're spoiled for choice.

One automaker seems to be lacking behind though. Opel/Vauxhall has been working with the Corsa for way to long and has chosen to make a facelift instead of launching an all-new model.

Corsa sales haven't exactly been booming, but there are a few exceptions. the Vauxhall Corsavan, a car sold in Britain with no rear glass or seats has been doing very well in 2013. The Luton automaker says demand has increased by about 25%.

The Corsavan boasts 550 kilograms of cargo volume. It also delivers excellent fuel economy through the 1.3-litre CDTi ecoFLEX engine equipped with Start/Stop. Official figures say it needs only one gallon of fuel fore ever 83 miles and emissions are remarkable low as well.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
