Valeo Electric Show Car to Shine in Paris

International part supplier Valeo will take a new approach when it comes to promoting its products, as it chose to use an electric show car at the Paris Auto Show this October. The car will be used to highlight the supplier's innovations, ranging from driveline components to thermal management systems or detection systems. Meant as both a tool for the public to have a better understanding of how important such components are for a car, the unnamed vehicle will also be a perfect tool to demonstrate to the carmakers attending the event “realistic, high-performance solutions for mass production at an affordable cost.” “More generally, Valeo is focused on the reduction of CO2 emissions and is already developing a wide range of products for internal combustion engine vehicles and hybrids,” the supplier says in a statement. “These technologies, which offer significant fuel savings, are presented under three different ways: reducing carbon dioxide emissions, weight reduction and energy efficiency, and smart driving.” More details about the show car and the technologies showcased on it will be released closer to the date of the event. In Paris, the car, manufactured by an undisclosed partner, will be on display at the Valeo stand. Valeo is one of the biggest automotive suppliers in the world, operating 117 plants, 21 research centers, 40 development centers and 10 distribution platforms. It also employs 56,000 people in 27 countries. autoevolution will be attending the 2010 Paris Auto Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
