Valentino Rossi Post Surgery Update

Seven-time MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi has already started its rehabilition process following an intervention he had to his shoulder some two weeks ago, and is currently back into training. The former champ has struggled with a lot of pain after the surgery, but he is now feeling much better.

Rossi had suffered cartilage and joint damage to his shoulder in a motocross training accident back in April. The Doctor had the stitches removed and is now able to begin some training on the rest of his body.

At first, the surgeons raised concern that the 31-year-old Italian could not gain his full strength ahead of the next MotoGP test at Sepang in February, but the Ducati rider is now confident in his return. He previously stated that he can’t wait to put his new shoulder to the test.

“I'm undergoing rehabilition on my shoulder and the situation is improving,” he said on his personal website. “It's been two weeks since the operation and Doctor Porcellini has removed the stitches: I can now go back to the gym to workout - at least on the rest of my body - and continue to work on the shoulder, even if it's just passive rehab, to make sure we don't lose any mobility."

“In two weeks' time, I'll start actively working out, in the pool and in the gym, to be ready for the three day test at the start of February. We will have to move as fast as we can, but I hope to be in pretty good shape for the first test of 2011 with the Ducati at Sepang,” added The Doctor.
