Valentino Rossi got what he deserved at Laguna Seca, as the rookie Marc Marquez overtook him pretty much the same way the Italian passed Casey Stoner in 2008 in the same spot.
We have to admit that the 2013 move had only a brush with the epic scale of the battle 5 years ago, but it's funny to see Marc Marquez using the same weapon against his much older and experienced rival.
It's also good to see that no one went down into the sand like Stoner did in 2008 and Rossi showing the same good old character of a great champion, and be as good a winner as he is a sporty loser in head-to-head battles.
It may be true that the MotoGP did not lose all its spectacular beauty after all... at least not on such a crazy circuit like the one at Laguna Seca.
