Using a Nissan GT-R's Flaming Exhaust as a Cigarette Lighter Doesn't End Well

As you know, the current Nissan GT-R has been in production since 2007, and while we've seen tons and tons of custom incarnations of the car, we may have just come across the craziest one. And no, we're not talking about the upcoming Alpha G, which is expected to pack north of 2,500 horses at the wheels.

Despite the rose gold wrap, the fiery exhaust and the expected mods under the hood, the supercar itself isn't the wacky part here. Instead, we're referring to the manner in which this Nissan was used.

Sure, we've seen plenty of GT-Rs being strapped to dynos before, but none of them was used as a cigarette lighter. This is precisely what takes place in the video below, with the flaming exhaust of this Nissan being put to unorthodox use.

And while the first clip below tells the rather complicated story of the stunt, those of you who are short on patience should skip to the second piece of footage, which only contains pure action scenes.

Things didn't go exactly as planned, which is only normal when comparing the attributes of a lighter to the assets of this GT-R

Has this eccentric JDM lighter served its purpose? Not exactly, but we'll let you see how things went without throwing further spoilers at you.

P.S.: Before anybody thinks about throwing rotten tomatoes at this stunt (to put out the fire, obviously), we have to mention the crew that pulled it out mentions charity as being one of their purposes. Does this make their attempt any less silly? Not really...
