At first sight, the US version is offered with the same features as the Europe NX model. However, the packaging will be different as well as the pricing, which hasn’t been released yet because the car is expected to reach dealerships towards the end of the year.

Starting with the visuals, you either hate or love the way the NX is designed, having been especially conceived to integrate the spindle design and feature a lot of sharp lines, creases and vents. We’ll leave that for you to decide whether it’s cool or not and we’ll move on to see the new exclusive features the luxury crossover comes with.

Obviously, the first thing that needs to be mentioned is the all-new 2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that also uses the Atkinson cycle to keep the consumption down. The unit makes 235 bhp and gets matched to a new 6-speed automatic gearbox that sends the power to the front and the rear as an optional feature.

The next neat feature on the list is the first available Qi wireless charging tray that debuts on the NX model. It’s located in the central console box and if you have a compatible wireless charging device, all you need to do in order to juice it up is to open the lid, place it in the tray and hit the ON button.

And since we’re talking about geeky stuff, the NX can also be fitted with the new Lexus Remote Touch Interface, that replaces the mouse-like infotainment controller with a small touch-sensitive rectangle on the lower center console. You’ll find it more convenient than the previous system if you’re addicted to your laptop’s touch pad. Basically it’s the same thing, only smaller.

The touch-sensitive tech won’t be limited to the dash as the switches in the headliner for the front dome and map lights will only require a soft touch to be turned ON or OFF.

For more cool stuff, you can opt for the F Sport package so your NX will get a cool fully-meshed spindle grille, exclusive 18-inch alloy rims, NuLuxe sport seats, perforated-leather steering wheel, brushed aluminum gear shifter, aluminum pedals and footrest as well as that gorgeous Rioja Red interior color theme and a G-Force meter available for the multi information display.

Of course, the NX is packed with a lot more features and to discover all, go check the full press release and walkaround video bellow.
