US Air Force Is AMA SX Official Military Partner in 2011

The United States Air Force (USAF) will extend their sponsorship as the Official Military Partner of Monster Energy AMA Supercross for the fifth consecutive year in 2011, Feld Motor Sports announced. USAF provides an Honor Guard to present the American colors prior to the National Anthem at each race.

“Throughout the Monster Energy AMA Supercross season, USAF will receive space on the concourse and in the pits to interact with supercross fans,” a statement from Feld Motor Sports reads.

As part of the opening ceremonies, USAF will also conduct a Delayed Entrance Program (DEP) initiation for newly enlisted recruits. In 2010, more than 280 DEP inductees were sworn into the USAF and more than 60 USAF Honor Guards participated in presenting the Nation's colors during opening ceremonies.

"The United States Air Force has been a longtime partner of Monster Energy AMA Supercross, and we are thrilled they will be back again in 2011," stated Charlie Mancuso, President of Feld Motor Sports.

"At each race, our Monster Energy AMA Supercross fans interact with local members of the Air Force based in their communities and can explore the career opportunities the Air Force has to offer. It is an honor to watch young men and women take the Air Force oath during the DEP ceremony prior to our races and is a very special and patriotic way to start each event," he added.

As part of the partnership, USAF will receive benefits such as Tuff Block and track signage, JumboTron and PA advertisement spots, and allocated space in the souvenir program. The USAF also hopes to inspire race fans by presenting the opportunities and positions available in the Air Force.
