US 2012 Toyota Camry Won't be Imported from Japan Anymore

The 2012 Toyota Camry is almost ready to say “hello” to its first customers, but, technically speaking, Toyota’s best-seller, won’t be an “import” anymore. Toyota recently announced that it will stop importing Camrys from Japan to North America due to the fact that the yen is rising against the dollar, as The Washington Post writes.

The Camry is also being brought to life in the US, but last year the demand was so high that the carmaker’s American production lines just weren’t putting together enough units of the car. However, the company only imported a limited number of Camrys from Japan.

In fact, Toyota went even further, saying that it plans to turn the Camry into a global product and wasn't to see the car being produced on the markets it is offered as much as possible.
