Ural Solo sT, 1970's Looks with Modern Tech

If you're a fan of the 1970's motorcycles but would rather ride a bike with a more modern technological approach, the 2012 Ural Solo sT could be one of the choices worth looking into. Ural has been known mostly for their sidecar bikes, but there's actually less than 3 wheels, too.

If you love the retro bikes but like your corners tight and fast, a sidecar is not your game. The Ural Solo sT, however, might be just the thing you were looking for. Ural claim that the Solo sT is what a '70s bike would have looked like if the engineers were allowed to fulfill their ambitions.

Even more, Ural says that the things left unfinished back in the day have been taken care of, so the new machines are living up to their best fame. Created for all sorts of riding scenarios, the Ural Solo sT can be reliable commuters,, will do well on a highway and will not let their owners down on a forest road.

And with the traditional customization capabilities, turning an Ural Solo sT into a scrambler or cafe-racer is really easy. The 2012 Ural Solo sT is available in flat black and retails for $7,799 (€5,880). Add in the all-new Marzocchi fork and Brembo brakes, 40 hp @ 5600 rpm and 38 lb-ft (51.1 Nm) of torque @ 4600 rpm and electric start and things start looking really nice.
