It's always extremely neat to see an old bike receiving nifty upgrades and having parts of it rebuilt... and still retaining the retro attire and making zero compromises as far as the old styling trends were concerned.
The Silver Bug is a great 1978 BME R100/7 and comes from the 4H10 garage, the Paris-based workshop of Nico and John. They wanted to keep the old BMW in the retro brat style, while upgrading and adding functionality to it.

They went for a bare metal look for the aluminium Rickman tank originally belonging to a Ducati., Small aluminium fenders were installed and a miniature polished aluminium fairing now adorns the yellow Ossa headlight. The tail light is a Dime City one!

The rebuilt engine got dual-spark heads from and R80GS and custom stainless steel silencers with exhaust lines from the same bike. Front brakes have been upgraded to provide the stopping power needed in present-day Paris, and the tail loop has been shortened to accommodate a two-up custom leather seat meant for slim passengers.

Finally, the gauge comes from an R25 and gives readings with a 35% error, but it looks great. If you want a piece of old two-wheeled machinery with tons of style, drop 4H10 a line, as the bike is for sale.
