Looking for a supercar that nobody else has? Do you want it to be built by a comply nobody else knows about? How about the Spania GTA Spano. Spania strikes back at the other supercars by unveiling their refreshed GTA Spano at the Geneva Motor Show.
Not having the history or the knowledge associated with supercar manufacturing, Spania made the new GTA with two important ingredients in mind: looks and power.

Spania GTA’s design department has come with a unique car body, that doesn’t resemble any other car. One of the car’s main distinguishing features lies in its side profile view, where doors fit perfectly into the air intakes. Access to the interior is made by pressing the GTA logotype.

The front-end gives the car a bold look, due to it’s large intakes on either side of the nose and the slightly convex bonnet. There are no F1 wings, no vents, no gills no intakes, no blades and no splitters.

At the rear, designers attempted to create the best shape for the air to flow over the car, though it's as much about art as it is about speed.

By using a monocoque made of titanium honeycomb, carbon fibre and Kevlar, Spania managed to reduce the car’s weigh by 80 kg, making it weight just 1,350 kg. Because every weave of carbon is visible, engineering is now a thing of beauty.

The Spano rides on staggered 19/20-inch front/rear alloys, it has a double wishbone suspension, AP Racing carbon-ceramic brakes and an electronically-regulated wing to keep it glued to the road.

To power the updated 2013 exotic, Spania uses a 8.4-liter V10 rated at 900 hp and 1000 Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque. Attached to a seven-speed sequential gearbox, the engine will make the GTA sprint from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.9 seconds, giving it a top speed of 350 km/h (218 mph).

The Spanish automaker said that the GTA Spano will be a very exclusive car, as only 99 units will be constructed. Let's hope they can sell all of them.
