There are several music streaming apps that Android users can also enable Android Auto, and the most popular names include Spotify and Deezer.
While opinions are still divided on which one is better and which one deserves paying for a subscription, both are receiving updates regularly to further improve the experience on Android and Android Auto.
Deezer, for example, has recently received new builds for the stable and the beta channels, and the latter comes with welcome improvements that you’re going to love.
First and foremost, it’s the stable update for Deezer. After installing this latest release, the Deezer version number is increased to 6.1.24.99 and, unfortunately, this one comes without a changelog. In other words, it’s pretty difficult to guess what’s in this update, so we can only assume that the focus in on bug fixes and general performance optimizations.
But then, there’s the beta build, which allows users to try out the next important update for the stable channel. In this case, the new version is 6.2.0.36 beta, and this time there are several improvements that really come in handy.
For example, this new beta build comes with a new Stay at home category, whose purpose is pretty obvious.
“We know you're home (like us), so we've added a Stay at home channel stocked with playlists to help motivate you throughout your day as you work from home, keep fit, kick back and stay informed,” Spotify says.
And then, there’s a new category called Shows, whose purpose is to bring all podcasts in one place, including in a series of new countries like Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Egypt.
What you need to know, however, is that beta builds come with an increased likelihood of bugs, but if you’re okay with this, you can download Deezer for Android and Android Auto (both stable and beta) using the dedicated APK installer.
