According to him, the front-wheel-drive F54 Cooper Clubman will start production in July next year while the all-wheel-drive one (yes, there will be an ALL4 version) will enter production in March 2016, leaving a hefty period of time between the two.

The Cooper S version will also start production around the same time, fitted with the same 2-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine launched on the hatch model making 192 HP and 300 Nm (220 lb-ft) of torque. For a diesel S variant you’ll have to wait a bit more, as the final production start date hasn’t been set just yet.

Now, knowing that the Clubman will start production next summer, we could see the production vehicle being unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show 2015, just a couple of months before entering assembly lines and exactly one year after the unveiling of the Concept.

That scenario would fit perfectly in BMW’s MO, as the Bavarians are known to leave around 12 months in between revealing the Concept of a car and presenting the final product. Of course, shorter intervals have occurred in the past.
