Upcoming Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake (X117) Depicted in 3D

To recapitulate, we now have the A-Class (A176), the B-Class (W246), the sexy CLA (C117) and the recently-unveiled GLA (X156) crossover/SUV.

In just a few months, the CLA will get a new variant called the CLA Shooting Brake (X117), which will follow in the footsteps of its bigger brother, the CLS Shooting Brake (X218).

Spied in numerous camouflage versions in recent months, the CLA Shooting Brake's design is not exactly hard to distinguish, nor to guess, but that hasn't stopped some Photoshop artists to try and create renderings of the model.

The 3D artists from Humster3D have gone even a bit further with this subject, after somehow managing to get the official CAD data of the upcoming model and creating a 3D rendering.

As you can see, the result is pretty spot on – at least from what we think so far – and the it gives you a pretty good idea of how the car will look from almost all angles.

Compared with the “regular” CLA, the Shooting Brake will be a slightly more practical model from two points of view, both of which should make it a pretty popular offer in the future Mercedes-Benz lineup.

Thanks to a rear hatch, the luggage compartment will have much better access, while the slightly raised roof line will benefit the rear passengers who should get quite a bit more headroom than the rather-cramped CLA sedan/coupe.
