Unrestored 1969 Mustang Boss 429 for Sale on eBay

eBay is usually the place where we find our 7-wheeled, off the wall, better than stock... oddities, but this is something altogether different: it’s a rare Boss 429 Ford Mustang, one of the rarest and most valuable cars in existence. If this was in ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’ Nicolas Cage might have forgotten all about Eleanor!

The car has only two previous owners, just 4,405 miles on the odometer, features the rare ‘S’ engine, and comes with the original window sticker and build sheets. All that could be yours for the measly sum of... $550,000. But you had better hurry, as there are only 20 hours left in the eBay auction.

“This car was in excellent condition when I got it and basically we wanted to get it running and all cleaned up. We took the seats and carpet out and cleaned up everything very well. Took pictures of the build sheets and then put them in the file. Everything is original in the car. The carpet is original to the car and in excellent condition the seats are excellent with no damage of any kind, the dash, door panels and headliner are also in perfect condition,”
the auction description says.

The exhaust is completely original from the manifolds all the way to the tail pipes. The brakes were obviously rebuilt, for safety’s sake, but all four shocks are original and still in excellent working condition with the original orange marking paint still on them. The original gas tank was covered with ziebart top and bottom and everything on the bottom of the car is original and in excellent condition. The current owner says there is not one drop of rust anywhere on the car.

Despite its low mileage, the Boss participated in, and won, a couple bracket races when new. The quarter windows still carry the winner's stickers. There can be no doubt this is a well preserved time capsule, but €550,00 is not within everyone’s budget.
