The Dodge Charger R/T launched in 1968 as a high-performance package for a model whose popularity was already on the rise. This configuration was offered as standard with the 440 Magnum engine previously available on the 1967 model.
However, Dodge released the Charger R/T with a second engine option, this time the 426 Hemi, with the entire lineup eventually accounting for over 17,000 units out of the more than 96,000 cars sold during the year.
The example we have here got to see the daylight in 1969, and it comes in a totally surprising condition even after all these years.
Obviously, a Charger in mint condition isn’t necessarily something very rare these days since restored models are rather common, but what you’re looking at here is an unrestored, all-original, 1969 Dodge Charger R/T with an untouched exterior and interior. In other words, it’s a Charger in the same condition it was when it left the factory 51 years ago.
As if this wasn’t enough, the car also comes with super-low mileage, as the odometer indicates just 12,000 miles (19,312 km), with the owner guaranteeing they’re all original. The paint is the original factory-applied A4 Silver metallic, while the black interior features absolutely no modification.
