Lamborghini’s unique 1998 Pregunta supercar concept has been posted up for sale on Classic Driver at €1,600,000 by its current owner, a dealership from Paris called Autodrome.
If you haven’t heard of this alien-looking machine, it represents the very last pure Lamborghini prototype, before the company was bought by Audi-VW and it was presented at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show.

As with other Lamborghini models (Miura and Coutach), the Italian carmaker wanted to build a uniquely designed car, impossible to be confused with any other. Its style was a breakthrough at that time, using a very low and aerodynamic shape and unique features. It used Aerospace and F1 racing technologies with the front end that reminds of today racing prototypes and air intakes that seems to be borrowed from jet fighters. Also it was built on a light structure, had an electronic F1-type Marelli instrument panel, CDI Cristine GPS system and a jet-derived cockpit.

The Pregunta was not only a beautiful concept, as it is fully functional and even road-legal. It is powered by a 520 hp V12 engine which enables it to reach a 333 km/h top speed in less than 20 seconds for a standing kilometer run.
