Following a serious neck injury, Antti Eloheimo was forced to stay away from the racetrack for his recovery. Since he likes to keep busy, the Finnish motorcycle enthusiast took the opportunity to embark on a magnificent bespoke adventure. As such, this 2006 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6RR was transformed into a track-only beast that incorporates design elements from ‘60s race cars, vintage two-wheelers, and even jet planes.

Now, it’s quite safe to say that Kawasaki’s MY ‘06 fiend is one hell of a donor to work with. It is powered by a liquid-cooled DOHC inline-four that hosts a respectable displacement of 599 cc. At optimal rpm, this engine will produce up to 98 hp, along with 51 pound-feet (69 Nm) of twist at around 12,000 revs. A six-speed gearbox feeds this oomph to a chain final drive, leading to a whopping top speed of 185 mph (298 kph).

Without going into any other details, we can probably all agree that the Ninja ZX-6RR is no toy. After sketching a satisfactory design on paper, Eloheimo used CAD to create a 3D model to act as the blueprint for this project. Next, he went about shaping the bike’s new bodywork by means of traditional techniques, involving polyurethane foam and clay, on top of which he laid the fiberglass sheets.

To accommodate these fresh components, the stock subframe was replaced by a one-off counterpart. As soon as the entire thing was sanded to perfection, Finland’s moto artist enveloped it in a silver base, complemented by an assortment of black decals that do a wonderful job in the looks department.

Last but not least, you will find a carbon fiber dashboard and a custom gauge adorning the Ninja’s cockpit. While there may not be any powertrain enhancements, we’ll have to admit that Kawasaki’s creature doesn’t exactly need a performance bump to impress. On the contrary, the 2006 Ninja ZX-6RR will behave like a gem straight out of the box!

What's your take on this whole ordeal?
