Word has it Batman just took a trip to Wales to visit the famous Carmarthen Castle and deliver the unique Nissan “Dark Knight Rises” Juke Nismo to its lucky new owner. While the Tumbler vehicle was spotted on site, Batman has gone missing after a couple of stouts.
Jokes aide, the winner of Nissan’s “Built to Thrill” competition took possession of its one-off Batman-themed Nismo-prepped Juke in a ceremony that took place in front of the Carmarthen Castle. The meeting was also attended by the legendary Tumbler vehicle, which was hauled to the Wales for the first time in its career.
Unveiled in November 2012, “Dark Knight Rises” Juke was won by Adam Williams, a baker from Carmarthen, who said: “I can’t believe I’ve won this fantastic car - it was the biggest surprise of my life and I was so excited to take delivery of it.”
Based on the “regular” Juke Nismo, the Batman Juke is powered by a 200 HP turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine mated with a six-speed manual gearbox. The car was gifted with matte black paint and several Tumbler-specific features, such as a shark fin antenna. Inside, Nissan fitted Bat logos on the kickplates and reflective Bat badges on the headrests.
The “Dark Knight Rises” Juke Nismo was developed by the London-based Nissan Design Europe.
