Amongst the auctioned models, one can find the 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider, a rare and original car that will be sold for $5-7 million by VanKregten Estate, luxist.com reported today. The Italian sports car is one of only 54 Short Wheelbase units factory-fitted with the covered headlights. In addition, this car is believed to still have preserved its original interior.
Another rare Ferrari to be auctioned at Scottsdale is the 1960 250 GT SWB Competizione, which made its debut at the 1960 24 Hours of Le Mans. But let's see what made the car famous. It was driven by American racing drivers, Augie Pabst and Ed Hugus and finished an impressive 7th overall and 4th in the Gran Turismo class. One of Britain’s leading Ferrari experts restored the car and since then it is has been a frequent presence at the most prestigious vintage racing events.
