Unholy 1000 hp G 65 AMG by Mansory is For Sale

It's not everyday that we feature one of Mansory's kitsch-tastic projects on our Mercedes-Benz blog, mainly because we find them atrociously ugly and most of them make us cringe.
This doesn't mean that they don't deserve the world's attention though, as most of them are so out there that they should be frowned upon by as many people as possible.

We even test drove a Mercedes-Benz G-Class Cabrio with Mansory bits fitted to it, so it's not like we're vigorously trying to remain pure from this point of view.

The Mercedes-Benz G 65 AMG covered almost entirely in carbon fiber from the adjacent gallery is arguably a perfect example of what goes through the mind of Kourosh Mansory when modifying the look of a car.

As you can see, there aren't many surfaces on this car that haven't been swapped with carbon fiber instead of the original Austrian metal, with the interior receiving a similar attention from Mansory.

The interior does get some other materials, with a touch of quilted cow hide and crocodile skin trying to take some attention away from the composites adorning most of the touchable surfaces.

The car's look isn't the most ludicrous feature of the car though, as the Mansory engineers also meddled with the twin-turbocharged V12 under than flat hood, with the result being that the G 65 AMG no longer delivers 612 hp but... wait for it... 1000 hp (!?!).

You can put that in your pipe and smoke it, Brabus! We kid, of course, as those 1000 horses are pretty much unusable on a car that in standard comes with a drag coefficient of 0.54, or about the same as a cupboard.

Sure, they may help you smoke quite a lot of cars in a drag race, but then who is gonna have the time to check out your carbon fiber pimp-mobile, since you are already at another stoplight?

Either way, if you're one of the few who actually desires such a custom G-Wagen and also has the necessary moolah to buy one, keep in mind that the peeps from Mansory only charge an Euro under 900,000 (or $ 1,231,000 in Yankee coin) for a car with 1.400 km (870 miles) on the clock.
