It seems like today we’re dealing with an ever-increasing wave of hate aimed at the Police Forces around the world. The most attention seems to be going towards the US in the wake of the Ferguson and Baltimore incidents, but other parts of the world have been targeted as well.
However, we think everything could be solved a lot easier if people just took it easy and were polite to each other. The best example comes from this video recorded late last year, of an undercover cop hunting down drivers that were using their phones while behind the wheel.

In most countries, using a cell phone without a hands-free device while behind the wheel is a contravention, and it is punishable by law. That’s exactly what this cop is enforcing in the video below.

What impressed us though is the way he approached people and was greeted as well. Not only is he a cool dude, talking respectfully to the ones that broke the law but he also seems like he’s going to talk to them first, before actually giving them a ticket.

Somehow that reminds us of a protective father that has a talk with his offspring before actually grounding them, his voice is that reassuring.

As we said, it’s also quite interesting how the people react and you can tell that this wasn’t recorded in the US. If that had been the case, at least one of the drivers would’ve invoked one or more Amendments that should make them invulnerable to the law or complain about an abuse of force.

Since that’s not the case, we’ll just point out that in the US, for example, 26% of all crashes were due to distracted drivers in 2012. That number is hopefully going down in the next few years.
