Unaware BMW Driver Spins Twice in the Same Nurburgring Corner, Crashes M235i

When a driver ends up hitting the barrier on the side of the track because he spun twice in the same corner, the unfortunate event can only be labeled as "predictable".

And we're here to learn from this driver's mistake, even though experience drivers might find such a crash path pretty easy to avoid. The adventure took place during Friday's RCN Circuit Challenge, so we're talking about touring car racing here.

But while the race-prepped BMW M235i (we're dealing with the M235i Racing customer motorsport machine) that got damaged in the process had tons of assets that would've allowed for blistering Green Hell laps, such a machine can't compensate for what the element linking the steering wheel and the pedals does.

The piece of footage below shows us the BMW driver spinning in the Brunnchen corner - as it often happens to those who don't match their Ring experience to their Brunnchen entry speed, the M235i ended up running wide and onto the gravel trap, with the Bimmer sliding its way back onto the track.

This episode, if not the presence of the gravel trap on the side of the bend or the Youtube corner status of the section, should've tipped the guy off. This obviously didn't happen, as footage captured later in the session sees the driver making the same mistake, albeit with a different gravel trajectory. Fortunately, the accident that followed didn't take too much of a toll on the M235i Racing.

Oh well, at least the man didn't rush to get out of the area, waiting patiently for other drivers to pass and thus avoiding another impact. Here's to hoping this crash makes for a valuable lesson.
