While it's nearly impossible to have a Nurburgring track day weekend without crashes, the past two days seem to have been particularly loaded with Ring accidents and we're here to show you an ironic one.
It all has to do with a BMW driver who let the Brunnchen corner send his E46 wide. The whole episode could've remained at the embarrassment level, but, alas, the man behind the wheel didn't seem to have adapted his speed to his level of car control.
With the 3 Series having run wide onto the grass, it didn't take much from the sedan to go into an oversteer state, one that saw it sliding across the track, right in front on incoming cars.
Well, one of those incoming cars was a Nurburgring marshall vehicle, with the two men inside the yellow light bar-gifted Opel Insignia Sports Tourer watching the BMW hitting the protection barrier on the side of the track from up close.
The impact took place at less than negligible speed, with the airbags being deployed, so the brief intervention of the safety personnel was more than welcome.
Oh well, at least the Bimmer eventually lands back on its wheels and we can see the driver unbuckling himself before the camera moves on to the next sequence in this Ring session summary.
As we mentioned in the intro, the weekend was loaded with Nurburgring crashes and you have another example here. Given the heavy traffic and difficult situations seen on the Nordschleife, the video we have here has much more to offer than just the accident mentioned above - the action in the clip was captured on Sunday.
However, if you happen to be in a hurry and want to jump straight to the BMW rollover crash discussed above, you can skip to the 1:48 point.
