Ultraviolet Blue Porsche 911 GT3 RS with iPE Ehxaust: The Song of Track People

As we've shown you on previous occasions, the rarefied air of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS PDK world still leaves enough room for plenty of owners to take their supercars down the customization route.
Porsche's GT arm is only building around 2,000 units of the track special per year, but it seems people's desire for individuality is strong. Then again, we can say the same thing about owners' care for the warranty (since Porsche allows one to extend the warranty, this is only normal).

As a result, most 991 GT3 RS owners stick to the now-classic wrap-wheels-and-exhaust theme. Well, the Ultraviolet Blue Rennsport Neunelfer we have here has only been gifted with a custom exhaust, but this makes a world of a difference.

Supplied by Taiwan-based specialist Fi Exhaust, the hardware makes the aural side of the 4.0-liter flat-six at the back of the Porsche even more enjoyable. Who knows? Perhaps the exhaust was fitted to compensate for the fact that, compared to the "standard" GT3's 3.8-liter engine, the boxer motivating the RS has a slightly lower redline (think: 8,800 vs. 9,000 rpm). Using sound-controlling valves, just like the factory exhaust, the exhaust will only scream when the driver wishes it to.

And since to a profane this might be described as a screaming supercar dressed in Purple, we figured we might just invite you to compare the Porsche with another... screaming supercar dressed in Purple we showed you earlier today.

We're talking about a Ferrari 458 Speciale, so the rivalry is strong with these two pieces of automotive heaven.

Regardless, the Prancing Horse we're talking about checks all three custom boxes mentioned above, but doesn't go further. Ferrari owners must have their warranties too, right?

P.S.: If you're looking for a GT3 RS owner who has gone all-out with the customization process, be sure to check out the story of this resprayed 991 that also packs 10-inch subwoofers.
